Currently, campuses of famous universities have become one of the popular tourist destinations. The phenomenon has aroused great public concern. There is no consensus (一致，共识) of opinions among people as to whether the university campus should be open to tourists.
Some argue that tourists should be denied access to the campus. After all, they believe, the Ivory Tower is not a park but a holy place reserved for college students. Tourists may distract students from their study. But others hold the opposing view that the revenues from campus tour may at least ease the university’s financial burden and be necessary for university’s maintenance and infrastructure(基础设施).
If asked to voice my view on this, I favor the latter group of people. Whether campus tour brings profits or not, it should not be banned as long as tourists obey campus regulations. And I am convinced that campus tour are sure to do good to the popularization of university cultures.

Travel has many benefits to offer. It enriches our experiences and helps us know more about the world, aside from relaxing ourselves both physically and psychologically.
To begin with, travel is one of the best ways to enrich our experiences. This week, we answer a question from a student in Odessa, Ukraine. Marushka wants to know about a program that lets foreign students work in the United States during their summer vacations.The program is called Summer Work/Travel. The State Department administers it for full-time college or university students who speak English well.
Students come on a J-one exchange visa. They can work for up to four months during their school break. They generally work in service jobs in stores, resorts, hotels, restaurants and amusement parks. But summer internships are also permitted.
"Summer" in this case means summer in the student's country. Those from south of the equator come to the United States during the northern winter.Students cannot work as housekeepers in private homes or be involved in patient care. And they are supposed to be paid the same as Americans.
Congress created this popular program under a nineteen sixty-one law, theMutual Educational and Cultural Exchange Act. Last year, one hundred fifty thousand students came to the United States this way. Students can do the Summer Work/Travel program more than once.
